Riding the Pen-y-Pass in Snowdonia on a Triumph Bonneville T120 motorcycle.

Continuing the 'Full Route Ride' series, this video is the full 5 mile route of the Pen-y-Pass in Snowdonia on my Triumph Bonneville T120. Heading north from the A498, this video starts from a little way before the beginning of the pass itself; a left turn just before the Pen-y-Gwryd Hotel takes you onto the A4086, or the Pen-y-Pass to give it it's proper name. It's a short, winding road that gives some stunning views as it passes by Snowdon. I rode this pass on a sunny weekend during the UK summer holidays, so it's a realistic depiction of the kind of traffic you could encounter if you ride it yourself at a similar time. I imagine it would be less busy at other times in the year, though in the depths of winter it would be worth checking before riding here to see if the pass is accessible, if the road is closed there isn't another close-by route to take instead. If you do ride over the pass, you'll find it's a very easy to navigate on a motorcycle and there are plenty of opportunities to overtake slower moving traffic, which you will almost certainly encounter.
