If you are looking to find out the rough location of Mevagissey Cornwall then you will find the village just five miles outside of St Austell on the Cornish coast. You may have seen the village on the Mevagissey Cornwall Webcam or seen a few videos on the place but we thought you might appreciate a more in-depth gentle look around to see what it's really like. We start the video on the cliff overlooking Mevagissey Harbour with it's cute little ferry boats and fishing boats and walk along the harbourside past the aquarium and into the village for a look around the narrow streets and past the shops and pubs. It's only a small village and fishing port but there's plenty to see and do here. The fishing port is an extremely busy one and is the second busiest fishing port in the whole of Cornwall. In the harbour is Mevagissey Lighthouse which was built in 1896 to mark the location of the breakwater there and protect the ships (and the breakwater!) from any potential accidents. At the end of June every summer Mevagissey celebrates Feast Week which is a week of celebration, family fun, dancing and music. As you can see it's such a beautiful place that Mevagissey is within the Cornwall area of outstanding natural beauty and protected.
