The Church saw to the restoration of the 28,000-square-foot historic building, which dates from the 1930s and sits just a few minutes away from downtown, on the Vermont Avenue corridor in South Los Angeles. After the restoration, the historic building was dedicated as the Church of Scientology Community Center in Inglewood on November 5, 2011. It is designed to serve every nearby neighborhood and provide the Church’s humanitarian initiatives to uplift this community as a whole. They not only provide the ideal facilities to service Scientologists on their ascent to greater states of spiritual awareness and freedom, they are also designed to serve as a home for the entire community and a meeting ground of cooperative effort to uplift citizens of all denominations.
