During our 26,000+ km journey travelling around Australia, we stayed in some of the most remote and isolated places — often completely on our own — and never once felt in danger. However, Tennant Creek was the only town where we didn’t feel comfortable staying. This video shares our personal experience while passing through Tennant Creek in the Northern Territory. We saw gangs of people gathered on both sides of the road, watching each other, and the atmosphere felt tense. We quickly bought the supplies we needed and continued driving until we reached our next destination.
