In this video we learn how to tie some useful and not so useful knots for the portable, on the air amateur. First the alpine butterfly, which creates a secure loop in the middle of a rope. Then the zeppelin bend, a way to connect two ropes. Maybe not as easy as the sheet bend, but fun to tie. Next the clove hitch, used to tie a rope around a pole or branch. And finally the monkey fist, a way to add some weight to the end of a rope, or for decoration.
