Massachusetts preschool teacher accused of physically assaulting students
Lilly Garofola, a former preschool teacher in Scituate, Massachusetts, has been charged with multiple counts of assault for allegedly physically and verbally abusing young children at the Little Steps Learning Center. Garofola, 29, pleaded not guilty to four counts of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon and 12 counts of assault and battery. Between April and May, she allegedly pushed, slammed, and grabbed children violently, with some incidents caught on surveillance video. The judge set bail at $1,000 with conditions including no contact with children under 16 or witnesses.
