An Elephant Gets Close | South Luangwa National Park Ep16

In the morning, we film some queleas and zebras. Later in the day, we find a very peaceful pool with elephants, baboons, hippos, and impalas. After sunset, we film some elephants and one comes very close to the vehicle. In this series, Rob and Andy travel to South Luangwa National Park in Zambia to film wildlife. While in the park, we film elephants, lions, leopards, and the park’s iconic Thornicroft’s giraffes and Crawshay's zebras, as well as many other fascinating species that call this extraordinary ecosystem home. South Luangwa National Park, in eastern Zambia, is one of Africa’s top safari destinations, famed for its breathtaking scenery and exceptional wildlife viewing. Centered around the meandering Luangwa River, the park is especially renowned for its high density of leopards, offering some of the best sightings anywhere in Africa. It’s also home to elephants, lions, hippos, crocodiles, Thornicroft’s giraffes (found nowhere else), and over 400 bird species. With its mix of open plains, riverine forests, and oxbow lagoons, South Luangwa is a haven for both wildlife and photographers.
