In this episode of my 1967 Land Rover Series 2A restoration, I start putting some of the mechanical pieces back where they belong. The starter motor gets stripped, cleaned, and put back into service, the generator gets refitted with a slightly improved mounting setup, and the gearbox finally goes back in the truck. Progress is progress. I also fit new brake lines (because stopping is generally considered a feature) and replace the steering relay. This build is a ground-up, hands-on restoration of a Series 2A Land Rover, using a mix of new parts, refurbished originals, and a fair amount of problem-solving along the way.
