Fort William is a good place to stay and tour around that area of Scotland. This video is where we went on our second day of about 7 days holiday there last August. Not much sunshine that day but pleasant with no rain. I hope you enjoy it. My videos are all non-profit and all music used belongs to the legitimate owners that I give credit to when I can. Music for Neptune’s Staircase: “Bright Future” Brief information on The Nevis Range Gondolas and Neptune’s Staircase:- The Nevis Range has Gondolas that reach the height of 650m up Aonach Mòr Mountain, Scotland’s eighth highest mountain sitting next to Ben Nevis. We have enjoyed lovely walks along the top when the weather was suitable. On a clear day there are panoramic views of the Scottish Highlands that can extend as far as the Inner Hebrides. There are also walks accessible from the top Gondola Station to Finnisg-aig, approx 45min return walk or Meall Beag, about 1hr return walk, for young and old alike to enjoy. Neptune’s Staircase is just north of Loch Linnhe about 4 miles from Fort William on the Caledonian Canal. It has eight locks for boats to pass through both up and down and is the longest staircase lock in Britain. The canal connects Scotland’s east coast at Inverness with the west coast at Corpach near Fort William.
