President Ford participated in a Foreign Policy press conference on May 6, 1975, in The White House. President Ford fielded question after question on Vietnam including those on a congressional inquiry as to the secret planning of the United States' initial reasons for going to War in Vietnam, his thoughts on the sacrifices veterans endured in Vietnam, and the evacuation of both Americans and South Vietnamese. President Ford was also questioned on upcoming meetings regarding peace between Egypt and Israel; Vietnamese Refugees resettlements and economic opportunities in the United States; President Ford's policy on amnesty for American Draft Evaders and Military Deserters and; the investigation of the Rockefeller Commission regarding the assassination of John F. Kennedy and its link to the suspected C.I.A. attempted assassination of Fidel Castro.
