Fork oil change replacing original 17k mile 10w oil with fresh Motul 15w oil. Chanté ( ​⁠‪@Beastie_Bunny‬ ) has noticed a few issues with her Rebel 500 front end including diving under braking and more concerning a random wobble at higher speeds (65++) specifically over rough or uneven pavement. After my recent wobble resulted in a spill on the FatBoy I wanted to try a solution I’ve read about several times on the internet which is replacing the original 10w oil with a heavier 15w oil. Ideally I wanted to do the Ohlins FSK 127 front spring kit but no retailer has been of any help locating it only recommending I contact Ohlins… after several attempts Ohlins has not responded. So here’s an attempt at making the Rebel 500 safer to ride at higher speeds with less than ideal road conditions.
