सक्दो शेयर गरिदिनु होला। उहाँलाई म आजभन्दा धेरै वर्षअगाडि भेटेको थिएँ। सधैंजसो हल्का मुस्कान, हातमा सिगरेट, अनि भन्ने बानी— “डाक्टरसाब, म त ठीकै छु नि… औषधि कहिलेकाहीँ छुटे पनि केही हुँदैन।” उहाँ मेरा पुराना बिरामीमध्ये एक हुनुहुन्थ्यो। मधुमेह थियो, वर्षौँदेखि। तर नियमित औषधि थिएन, नियमित जाँच थिएन। धुवाँ भने सधैंसँगै थियो— चिया, सिगरेट, र ‘भोलि हेर्छु’ भन्ने बानी। मैले धेरै पटक सम्झाएँ। “आज होइन भने भोलि शरीरले उत्तर दिन्छ।” उहाँ मुस्कुराउनु हुन्थ्यो, तर त्यो मुस्कानभित्र डर होइन, बेवास्ता लुकेको थियो। समय बग्यो। खुट्टामा सानो घाउ देखियो। दुखाइ कम थियो, त्यसैले गम्भीर लागेन। धुवाँ चलिरह्यो, चिनी बढिरह्यो, घाउ भने चुपचाप गहिरिँदै गयो। एक दिन उहाँलाई स्ट्रेचरमा ल्याइयो। आँखा मलाई खोजिरहेका थिए, शरीर थाकेको थियो, मन डराएको थियो। “डाक्टरसाब… अब बचिन्छ?” त्यो प्रश्नमा विश्वासभन्दा बढी पछुतो थियो। हामीले सक्दो गर्‍यौं। तर ढिलो भइसकेको थियो। पहिला एउटा खुट्टा… पछि अर्को पनि… जब उहाँले आफ्नो शरीरतर्फ हेर्नुभयो, त्यो दिन म डाक्टर भएर पनि आँखा भिज्नबाट रोक्न सकिनँ। उहाँले बिस्तारै भन्नुभयो— “मैले सुनेको भए हुन्थ्यो।” त्यो वाक्य औषधिभन्दा भारी थियो। आज उहाँ बाँचिरहनुभएको छ। तर हरेक बिहान उहाँको आँखा आफ्नो खुट्टा खोज्छ। र मन आफ्नो गल्ती। उहाँ अब सिगरेट छुनुहुन्न। औषधि कहिल्यै छुटाउनु हुन्न। तर समय फर्किँदैन। यो कथा दोष लगाउन होइन। डर देखाउन पनि होइन। यो सम्झाउनका लागि हो। मधुमेह चुपचाप मार्ने रोग हो। यसले आवाज दिँदैन, चेतावनी चिच्याउँदैन। तर जब उत्तर दिन्छ— त्यो धेरै महँगो हुन्छ। आजै औषधि नियमित लिनुहोस्। आजै जाँच गराउनुहोस्। आजै धूम्रपान छोड्नुहोस्। शरीरले भोलि होइन— आजको निर्णय सम्झिन्छ। Dr. Dipak Malla @swasthyapharmacy #doctoradvice #healthtips #socialawareness #swasthyapharmacy Hello!
