Mr. Md Sharukh Khan (21) is from Hapur, Uttar Pradesh. He lost the vision in his left eye due to a firecracker injury. He underwent many eye surgeries like Lens Replacement Surgery, Cornea Surgery, and Retina surgery in various eye hospitals in Meeruth and then in AIIMS-Delhi. Despite all the treatments, his left eye started getting shrunk and causing a lot of discomfort and pain. Unfortunately, his vision in the left eye couldn't be restored but we removed his bulging corneal tissues that were causing constant pain and then we implanted an artificial scleral eye shell to maintain the shape of the eye and to make both eyes look alike.
