I prepped this area a few weeks ago by mowing down last year's screening. In this video, I worked the soil lightly enough to get some soil exposure for the seed, then broadcasted, harrowed and sprayed on liquid fertilizer. An update: it actually did rain a half inch a couple days after planting, so this should hopefully take off the next several weeks, and it will be a screening that will stand well all season.
