Der IC2 verbindet Zürich auf direktem Weg mit Lugano. Dabei legt er seit Fahrplanwechsel 2021 einen Halt in Altdorf ein. Ab Fahrplanwechsel 2022 wird dann der IC21 dort halten, der den IC2 übrigens ab Arth-Goldau zu einem 60 min Takt ergänzt. Nach dem Halt in Altdorf befährt der Zug den 2016 eröffneten Gotthard Basistunnel, den längsten Bahntunnel der Welt! Dazu gibt es auch eine Sonderansage, die wir bereits in einem anderen Video hochgeladen haben. Nach Bellinzona geht es dann noch durch den Ceneri Basistunnel und schon erreicht man nach einer rund zweistündigen Fahrt Lugano. L'IC2 collega direttamente Zurigo a Lugano. In seguito alla modifica dell'orario del 2021, il treno farà una fermata ad Altdorf. A partire dal cambio di orario del 2022, vi fermerà l'IC21, che tra l'altro integra l'IC2 da Arth-Goldau con un intervallo di 60 minuti. Dopo la sosta ad Altdorf, il treno attraverserà la Galleria di base del Gottardo, inaugurata nel 2016 e la più lunga galleria ferroviaria del mondo!
