I unpack, analyze and directly reconstruct a mexican sling made around 2005. I'm particularly interested in this sling as it shares design elements with contemporary slings from Saudi-Arabia and Tibet, as well as prehistoric slings from Ancient Egypt and Switzerland. I give you my first impressions about the sling, and then proceed to analyze its structure in detail. I directly reconstruct the sling in the second part of the video using the method of twining over sticks. At the end I will also briefly demonstrate an alternative reconstruction approach than the one I've chosen for this video. Do you want a special sling analyzed and reconstructed? Let me know in the comments or contact me by email and I'll see what I can do! The email adress is in the channel infos tab.
