La implementación de motocultores dentro de estos umbráculos permite agilizar y reducir el trabajo dentro de las estructuras. En este video Francisco Arroyo conversa con Dr. Joaquín A. Chong sobre la preparación del suelo en estos umbráculos con el uso de motocultores. Francisco nos enseña el uso de una aterradora con un motocultor para crear zanjas y bancos para cultivo en un umbráculo protegido (High Tunnel System NRCS Code 325). Luego nos enseña la preparación manual, rastrillo, de las camas y el uso de un Power Harrow como otro método de preparación del banco y control de yerbajos. Francisco creates a trench with a walking tractor and creates cultivation beds. He then manually prepares the bed raking it to clear and create a smooth surface and later demonstrates the Power Harrow as another method of bank preparation and weed control.
