The JVC TD-V621 is s discrete 3 head Amorphous composition head assembly 2 motor Dolby B,C and defeatable HX Pro as well. Getting closer to the end of the Cassette Era. This one has the distnction of have 2 capstan belts. In case one fails the deck keeps going. Very impressive. Top cover has additional steel plate to act as damping unwanted air born resonances. Very simple inside so maintenance is nice versus some of the machines of the 1970s for instance. I got this for a song. Cosmetics are fair, looks like the previous owner spilled something on the front panel near the bottom. Otherwise it plays well and records well. Also distinctive is the numerical peak hold level indicator. Very nice. I had one of these on my DAT machine, and I really appreciated monitoring the peaks very easily.
