Watch Ernie Daniels, President and CEO, FNFA (Salt River First Nation, Northwest Territories) and Chief Derek Epp and FNFA Chairperson (Ch’íyáqtel First Nation, British Columbia) present on the potential of FNFA lending to Indigenous-owned Special Purpose Vehicles (SPVs) at First Nations Leading the Way 8 (FNLTW) on the traditional territory of the Mississaugas of Scugog Island First Nation (Markham, Ontario). This new pathway will further enhance access for Indigenous groups, and Nations of any size, to secure affordable financing and participate in economic and resource development projects. FNLTW is an annual gathering showcasing the tangible results of First Nations exercising their inherent jurisdiction over finance, governance, and land. This event is co-hosted by the First Nations Fiscal Management Act (2005) institutions (First Nations Finance Authority, Financial Management Board, First Nations Infrastructure Institute, First Nations Tax Commission) and the Lands Advisory Board. #FNFA #FMB #FNTC #FNII #LAB #firstnations #FNLTW #SPVs #indigenous #finance #canada
