On March 25th, evolutionary spirituality teacher, Andrew Cohen, passed away in Tiruvannamalai, India. For this special Integral Stage episode, Layman and Bruce gather first with Daniela Bomatter and then Carter Phipps to talk about Andrew's life, teachings, and legacy. Daniela Bomatter, originally from Switzerland, is a former Software Engineer who rose through the ranks into senior leadership, ultimately serving as the CEO of SwissEnergy at the Federal Office of Energy in Switzerland. In 2008, her life took a transformative turn when she met spiritual teacher Andrew Cohen. Over the course of 17 years, she became deeply involved in his work, dedicating the last 9 years fully to supporting his life and leading the operations of his organisation. Daniela co-founded www.manifest-nirvana.com, an online sanctuary and spiritual platform dedicated to Evolutionary Enlightenment. She continues to organize and curate Andrew Cohen’s teachings, preserving and sharing his legacy. She now resides in Tiruvannamalai, India, where she contributes to a small intentional community and spiritual center committed to living and transmitting this unique vision of awakened life." Carter Phipps is an author, speaker, and thought leader who works at the intersection of business, personal development, and culture. Carter’s books include Conscious Leadership (Portfolio, 2020), coauthored with Whole Foods Market CEO John Mackey and Steve McIntosh, and Evolutionaries (Harper Perennial, 2012). Carter hosts the Thinking Ahead podcast, an in-depth interview show that reflects his broad-ranging and integrative perspective on business, politics, science, technology, consciousness, and more; and he is also the co-founder and Managing Director of the Institute for Cultural Evolution, a nonprofit social policy think-tank based in Boulder, Colorado. From the 1990s until the dissolution of the Fox Hollow community, he was a close student of Andrew Cohen, and during that time was one of the primary creative forces behind the well-known What is Enlightenment? magazine.
