I try to bring a lot of fun activities for students into my classroom, so If it's stressful, if it creates anxiety, it's not in my class. Before I came to HACC I taught at the American University of Central Asia in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan. But before that experience I practiced as a lawyer, I was a civil litigation attorney. I was a partner in a law firm. I've launched over 26 new products in the last 20 years. Also new product lines for different big retailers that you know and shop at. That's a really exciting part of marketing and new product development and I of course bring those stories into my classroom to get students excited and engage with the materials. Many of the faculty at HACC do work in their fields. And I know I spent 25 years in my field. I no longer work there but I am very much connected with that field and I bring it into the classroom every day. I feel that I've done my job when I see my students succeed. And I love what I do.
