안녕하세요🥰 제가 활동하고 있는 팀인 “뮤이스트” 음악을 하나씩 올려보려합니다!! 즐겁게 감상해 주세요——-💙🌙 (달빛아쟁은 긴머리 호호 😋) 아쟁 듀오 '뮤이스트 (Mueast)'가 연주하는 사이키델릭 록 'White Rabbit'을 들어볼까?. 아쟁 듀오 뮤이스트 (Mueast)'의 'White Rabbit(화이트 래빗)’은 1960년대 후반 유행한 사이키델릭 록을 대표하는 곡으로 처음 발표한 미국 록 밴드 제퍼슨 에어플레인(Jefferson Airplane)의 연주가 지금까지도 많은 이들에게 기억되고 있는데, 최근 영화 '매트릭스 4 : 리저렉션 (The Matrix : Resurrections)' 예고편 배경음악으로 쓰이면서 다시 화제가 되고 있다. 아쟁으로 풀어낸 ‘White Rabbit’은 사이키델릭 록 특유의 몽환적인 사운드와 멜로디가 환상적이다. 기존의 원곡 사운드를 최대한 살렸으며, 대아쟁의 베이스 라인에 소아쟁의 노래 멜로디를 얹혀 연주했다. 아쟁 듀오 ‘Mueast(뮤이스트)’ 소개 Mueast(뮤이스트)는 동방의 나라 한국의 전통 현악기 아쟁을 연주하는 듀오이다. Mueast는 Music(음악)과 East(동쪽)를 조합한 단어로 ‘동방의 새로운 음악’이라는 의미가 담겨 있다. 이렇듯 Mueast는 국악뿐 아니라 팝, 록, 일렉트로닉, 재즈 등 다양한 장르의 음악을 아쟁의 선율에 담아 새로이 해석하고 이를 개성 넘치는 연주로 녹여내어 관객들과 함께 나누고자 한다. 특히 록(Rock) 악기를 아쟁으로 대체할 정도의 파격적인 음악적 콜라보를 시도하여 창의적인 월드 뮤직을 추구하고 있다. 하지만 ‘옛것에 토대를 두되 그것을 변화 시켜 새것을 만들어가는 '법고창신'의 소신을 견지하고 Introducing Ajaeng Duo ‘Mueast’ Mueast is a Korean traditional music duo who perform on the ajaeng - a traditional Korean string instrument. ‘Mueast’ is a portmanteau of ‘Music’ and ‘East’; and signifies the concept of ‘New Eastern Music’. Mueast aims to connect with the audience by interpreting the sound of the ajaeng and blending it to not only Korean traditional music, but also pop, rock, electronic, jazz and various other genres. In particular, the ajaeng has been used in place of rock music instruments to experiment unconventional music collaborations, as they strive to create ingenious world music. However, they abide by the belief of ‘creating the new whilst staying true to the values of the past.’ Mueast consists of ‘Bo Eun Kim’ and ‘Nu Ri Cho’ Bo Eun Kim is an alumna of Chugye University For The Arts who expresses the richness of traditional music in a modern and unique style by combining aspects of traditional and fusion, via various performances as well as her personal online videos. Under the apprenticeship of virtuoso Ilgu Kim and Kwan Woong Lee, she strives to correctly master the Ilgu Kim-type sanjo ajaeng. Nuri Cho is a ‘new generation’ Korean traditional musician who studied at the Department of Korean Classical Orchestral Music of Chung-Ang University and learned the ajaeng from maestro Jong Seon Park. She has made a name for herself as an experienced performer with outstanding talent. In addition, she presents to the audience beautiful melody of the ajaeng through various musical means such as performances, Korean folk theatre, musical renditions, etc. With the diverse musical backgrounds, Mueast aspires to create avant-garde music styles, thereby spreading awareness of Korean traditional music, and connect with the audience.
