What does LOTAD mean? Low optimized tool-assisted demonstration (LOTAD) is a speedrun which seeks to obtain a run with a minimum of errors, through the use of simple methods such as rewinding, and without using macros or scripts as in the case of a TAS. In short, it is the execution of a human who tried the necessary times to achieve the best result possible. The mention of a TAS in the title is only symbolic to facilitate the search for the video. This video is a compilation of all my obtained segment's golds (exceeded or matched) comparing against the bests golds of each segment taken from the splits of the runner that had the best time in each one. These golds are based on the fastest rng a person can legitimately obtain in a game, for example when reaching the clock tower, the fastest for the game in general is to get early powders, but not getting powders there is faster for that specific segment. It was not an easy task, I used the splits of different people that have played through each segment thousands and thousands of times which makes the best golds from each segment (from different runners) really optimized and hard to beat, therefore I had to spend a lot of time in each sector of the game, to give you an idea, the bar sector was quite difficult for me as it took me 13 hours to beat the fastest gold. I managed to get gold in about 80% of the segments. I was comparing to splits of the vanilla version, where for example, when you have to choose between the two options to progress, rebirth is 0.2s or sometimes 0.4s faster than vanilla but in some other cases such as some specific door animation skips that are fast in the vanilla version but slow in rebirth and vice versa, also in the vanilla version, fast doors are 0.02s faster than the rebirth ones which makes it impossible to beat vanilla's golds, for example the corridor after leaving the warehouse where it is simply a straight line. The method that the game uses to calculate the gametime fluctuates, sometimes you lose 0.01s, sometimes you lose 0.03s with the same line so I had to check this by also running it in the vanilla version. This made me understand what some of the time differences between the versions are but this is a separate topic for another video. So is it possible to get 39:22 in the game? Yes, if you get amazing RNG and your execution is perfect or close to perfect. It can even be improved further to sub 39min, just because I got gold in 80% of the splits, doesn't mean they are the fastest golds possible, they can still be better. The segment's time in the video is not perfect because the splits are using RTA, just take into account that the IGT splits have the correct times, I will leave them below to download. The IGT splits have the autosplitter for each version, some of the segment's golds, like the one from leaving the warehouse from vanilla, are placed in it but not all, most are rebirth, so you can get some golds very easy in some segment's fast doors using vanilla version but it will be impossible for you to obtain golds in decisions, for example the entry to the RPD.
