I'm no piano player and played these melodies from memory so please forgive any errors :) A year ago, I embarked on a project to recreate the Kurzweil K2500 setup that Stewart Copeland used when composing the soundtrack for Spyro the Dragon. This journey took me to weird places, elating highs, frustrating lows, and occasionally chiseling out glued-in screws. Here is a sub-section of sounds used on the Spyro soundtracks, mostly from Spyro 1. Getting all these sounds has required tracking down obscure libraries and dwindling spare parts, and has led to me meeting some colorful characters. The biggest difference between my setup and Copeland's is that he used the full keyboard model of the K2500 while I went with the rack model due to limited space. My keyboard is a Roland A300. Also, Copeland was using a different computer from my Macintosh Classic, and composed with Digital Performer rather than Cubase, but I thought I'd include some shots of my other gear for fun. I owe a huge thanks to the people over at the Spyro Soundfont collection for identifying the libraries and ROM upgrades for all these sounds. My K2500 has a zuluSCSI SD card reader to replace an included HDD, and communicates with my Mac via an Opcode Studio 4
