At the age of 18, Ahmet Baran became the youngest soloist of the Symphony Orchestras. His passion for jazz music and improvisation allowed him to share the same stage and record albums with music stars around the world. His music, blended with energy and, immense vision brought Ahmet Baran beyond the boundaries. He gave concerts in honor of more than fifty statesmen from the Queen of England to the President of Japan to the Pope of the Vatican to the King of Norway. He has performed more than a thousand concerts on six continents. His concerts at the Sydney Opera House,the Capitoline Museum of Rome, G20 Opening concert in Varanasi and UNESCO Headquarters in Paris attracted widespread media coverage. In addition to the awards, he won first prizes in international competitions. He was honored with the Order of the State by theQueen of Denmark II Margrethe and President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev. He introduced to the audience a new technique of performance on the qanun, which will be mentioned in Turkish Music History with his name. With all the techniques he taught his opposing visions and interpretations he gained, he was the subject of graduation theses in State Conservatories. Instrument series bearing his signature were produced and offered for sale all over the world. Two separate qanun concertos were dedicated to Ahmet Baran. In 2016, his album Kanun Namına was included in the bestseller lists and received the highest marks and flawless feedbacks from various music critics. In his charity and volunteering projects, Mr. Baran handles social problems such as child abuse and violence against women, and shares his music with disadvantaged children. He has made it a tradition to provide education scholarships to successful female students of our country with the ‘İyilik Korosu’, which he founded, by succeeding in touching the soul beyond the notes. His extraordinary projects both in Turkey and abroad have reached wide audiences and brought him to the headlines of national and international newspapers. He has released five albums: “İki Kelime”, “Kanun Namına” , “Karışık Kaset” , ‘Evde Kalmış Şarkılar’ and ‘Müzik Atlası’ . Many of those compositions became soundtracks for various performing arts masterpieces, TV series, commercials, computer games and short films.
