This is a review of the Cold Steel SRK.. It’s one of my favorite baby swords. I should also note here - and hopefully it is very obvious - this is intended to be funny. It might not be funny to you but that is the goal, so please do not take anything here seriously. Also, Lynn Thompson and Steven Seagal were not involved in the review. It seems stupid to have to write that down, but here we are. Hopefully both gentlemen have a good sense of humor if this ever ends up in front of them. ** Couple corrections that I am making because I don't to record this again.. SanMai - Is two steels and not three False Edge is 2" not 2.5" I struck the peg in the pol noodle a few times and there was no issues with the edge. I should have noted that. Regarding the Knife… The SRK I have was purchased second hand and is the 4th version of the knife from what I understand. It has a cool shape and I like most things about it. If you can find one for around $100, I think it is a fun piece. I know a lot less about knives and the market but I enjoy the blade and size. That said I do not have many pieces that I could measure it against in terms of general appeal. I have other drop tip knives but none that are quite the same.. Closest I have is a Buck 119, SOG NW Rager 2.0, and a custom piece from Ed Martin. They are all pretty different but among them I enjoy the Ed Martin Piece the most. The CS SRK would be a not close second. It’s a little big for what I like and the tip is more aggressive than what I prefer. That said, still a great knife that I am happy to own.
