Proudly introducing himself as a farmer, Muzahidul Islam Jahid shared how a small beginning grew beyond imagination—eventually expanding across borders to more than 5,000 acres. This journey was never easy. It was shaped by uncertainty, failed plans, hard lessons, and a constant commitment to learning. In this profound and insightful conversation, Mujahidul Islam Jahid reflected on an essential truth: at the beginning of life, nothing is truly clear. Many young people expect life to arrive with a ready-made plan. But in reality, plans fail, ideas fall apart, and moments of confusion become unavoidable. He explained that life often requires us to try different paths, explore unfamiliar territory, and step beyond our comfort zones. Some efforts succeed, many do not—but the most important lesson remains: no one starts with a perfect plan. Plans are shaped, refined, and strengthened through experience and failure. From childhood, he carried dreams that refused to fade. To turn those dreams into reality, he chose courage over comfort and began his journey with a small investment in farming in his own country. Gradually, his work expanded—through initiatives such as Borgha and the Khureghor Project—each step building on the last. His vision did not stop there. He carried his ambitions beyond borders, extending his work to Africa, particularly Uganda, where he actively planned and implemented his ideas on a larger scale. This talk is a powerful reminder that small beginnings are not weaknesses—they are strengths. From one acre to thousands, this journey proves that when vision is matched with patience, resilience, and commitment, growth becomes inevitable. Agriculture, he reminds us, is not merely a profession; it is the backbone of sustainable development, food security, and national progress. As the founder of Freshie Farm, an agro-tech startup based in Porsha, Naogaon, Mujahidul Islam Jahid has been instrumental in promoting sustainable farming practices and introducing innovative agricultural solutions. Utilizing a unique crowdsourcing model that is unprecedented in Bangladesh, Freshie Farm has shown how an Agriculture based startup can thrive in the Bangladeshi business ecosystem. With success at home, Jahid extended his exploration of agricultural opportunities in Africa, particularly in Uganda, where he is now establishing his 5000 acres of farming ventures! His efforts to bridge Bangladeshi investment with African agricultural potential, shows that he has the courage to make tough decisions! Standing alone as a true leader, Jahid is inspiring many young souls of Bangladesh to explore the opportunities that lie in Bangladesh's Agriculture!
