This is a gray male cockatiel, he is Wono. Wono has been with us since mid-2020, probably around early August. He arrived when he was 6 months old, along with a female pearl cockatiel. They were brought to us because the people they were with previously had a hard time, because.. 2020 is tough enough for a lot of people. Here we have a lot of seed mixes for parrots, so why not.. At that time we still had a lot of canaries, and the cockatiel was a great singing partner for the canaries. At that time we hoped our canaries could imitate Wono's singing sounds, or vice versa. But as time went on, it got more difficult. And we don't look forward to that anymore. Then we decided to open the door for the other cockatiels to come in with us. We don't expect a large number of birds, we prioritize people who are having a hard time during 2020, so we can help others at the same time. It's a normal thing, but it's a strengthening thing for us to remain true human beings. We shot this video in mid-2021, early June. This is the third and last cockatiel video that we made in 2021. We are only editing it now because it is quite difficult and takes a lot of time to do it. We are still planning to record two more cockatiels. They are Sono and Nono. But we won't be doing that anytime soon. We're still tired of making more cockatiel singing sounds videos. It takes a lot of time and patience. Sometimes we wish we could do that easily with good sound. But if the cockatiels are not in the mood then we can't force them either. In this video Wono doesn't sing or whistle much. He was more often chirping and calling other cockatiels. Wono also has his own natural singing songs, like Tono.
