In this Podcast, I meet Sheikh Yusuf Estes. In this interview, Sheikh Yusuf Estes يوسف استس shares insights about himself and his life — including details about his family, his age, the age at which he accepted Islam, how many children he has (and whether they are Muslim), and whether he is currently married. He talks about how he went from being a millionaire before Islam to having “no clothes on [his] back” after accepting Islam — and how he went through that period of his life and what it meant to him. Then we move into da’wah-related topics: how many people he has given shahadah to, his advice for Muslims today, which scholars inspired him most, the things he regrets doing — and those he regrets not doing — which translation of the Qur’an he prefers, and more. My purpose for recording with Sheikh Yusuf and sharing the video is to inspire people to continue doing good work with sincerity, and ignore any negativity or discouragement.
