Powerful Autobahn acceleration test with the all new 2015 / 2016 Ford Mustang convertible on the German Autobahn. This particular car ist the entry level 2.3 EcoBoost that delivers 317 hp and 434 Nm of torque through a conventional 6-speed manual (Cabrio weight: 1.711 kg). The conditions in this test were a very wet road which led to the traction problems in 1st gear and a 0-100 time thats probably 1 sec. short of what the car is able to do. On the other hand you can clearly see how this thing goes forward and has a decent in-cab sound at the same time. I know that most of the people are saying that a Mustang needs a real V8, but honestly this thing handles better than a V8 with performance pack. There is noticable less weight on the front axle which enhances the nimble character of the Mustang even more. Overall the Mustang is a great car, really, and its also great value for money if you are currently looking at a Scirocco R a Seat Cupra 280 or something similar.
