Personal Empowerment: Daisy da Veiga at TEDxUtrechtUniversity

Daisy da Veiga is a public speaker and a social entrepreneur. After graduating in International Communication Management she worked as an international media consultant in the Middle East. Quickly she became aware of 3 personal forces: Her passion, her vision and her ability to act towards a more sustainable society. These three elements are the source of World Ambassador, a communication and empowerment agency she started in 2008. The vision of World Ambassador is to increase the awareness of Ubuntu (interconnectedness), personal leadership and other social issues amongst young people. One of the first projects created is Heart Initiative; a platform to facilitate dialogue about social sustainability and promote green thinkers and do'ers. In 2010 Daisy was selected as the One Young World Ambassador for The Netherlands and in 2011 she was listed 3rd in the Category Good of the Dutch 'Viva 400' list. Daisy enjoys using her talents and voice to inspire people to discover "what are your authentic forces to bring about personal and social change?"
