It featured their version of the EP-3's preamp along with a boost to really drive the preamp's goodness home to your amp of choice. The Epoch Bias goes two steps further by offering Bias control to heat up the tone and a Filter control which is basically a high-cut; something to smooth out your tone if needed. The complete package is a potent combination that can inject quite a lot of that special 'something' that attracted 70's players to the EP-3 in the first place. An 'always on' pedal, as it were.
