On the full moon night of December 15, 2024, Mauritius experienced a transformative spiritual awakening as Marcus Gad and his band Tribe performed alongside the Mauritian people in a historic reggae concert. Ton Renald, the brother of the legendary Kaya—who was tragically beaten to death in 1999 while advocating for cannabis rights—was honored during the concert. A moving tribute was paid through the performance of Ras Couyon, with Marcus Gad contributing to the rendition. The concert also featured the powerful song The Truth (La Vérité), a collaboration between Marcus Gad and Mauritian artists.
