If you were a 12-14 year old boy at school using the urinal in the boys’ restroom and this 14 year old transgendered girl came through the door, what would your reaction be? Do you think that children, male or female, feel comfortable when someone who appears clearly to be of the opposite sex enters their restroom? This is what Lt. Governor Dan Patrick of TX and Governor Pat McCrory of NC, both conservative Republicans (of course), want to do to our children. They think that genitalia hidden by clothes should outweigh visible sexual appearance and identity when it comes to which restroom a child should be allowed to use. If this transgendered girl was in a stall in the the girls’ restroom, how would you know she had a penis without crawling under the door and checking out her equipment? Conservative logic is truly baffling.
