Join me as I try out the Canonet QL17 GIII for the first time and compare the shooting experience with my more modern FujiFilm X100V. The GIII model I’m using was a best selling premium fixed lens rangefinder in it’s time. Selling more than 1.2 million copy’s between 1972-1982. Since I see rangefinders as the spiritual predecessors of the X100 series I thought it would be interesting to compare user experiences. This was also my fist time shooting Portra 160 film, and boy was I surprised with the quality! I think it’s safe to say I found a new addition!
