While the CV90 series is known for being incredibly strong, I was ultimately *disappointed* with the CV9030FIN [00:00:18]. While it performs competently as a light tank, the difference between the 30mm gun on this vehicle and the massive 40mm Bofors on the Strf 9040 series is night and day [00:00:47]. The Main Problem: Low Post-Pen Damage The core issue is the *30mm cannon's poor post-penetration damage* [00:02:07]. The stock APDS pens less than 90mm [00:01:22]. The Rank 3 *APFSDS* round penetrates up to 116mm, but the reduced projectile mass often means you can hit a tank's side and *fail to secure the kill* [00:02:15], allowing them to turn and destroy you [00:02:54]. Pros and Cons: *Pros:* It retains all the great secondary CV90 systems: *Scouting**, **Laser Rangefinder**, and **excellent Thermals* for both the Commander and Gunner [00:02:27]. It is also highly mobile and includes smoke grenades [00:02:41]. *Cons:* The vehicle is *incredibly loud* [00:03:05], negating its effectiveness as a stealthy light tank. Crucially, unlike the 40mm variants, it *does not get HE-VT rounds* [00:07:18], significantly reducing its anti-air capability. Lineup Strength: Despite the vehicle's flaws, the Swedish 9.3 BR lineup is quite strong, featuring vehicles like the **Strv 105**, **T-72M1**, and good CAS options like the A32A and J32B [00:04:28].
