LET US PRAY… Heavenly Father, I pray that You would help me to concentrate on my studies and to focus on the work that I need to carry out, so that I may do well in my course work and in the end of term exams. Father, guide me in the way that I should study and give me clarity of thought and a clear focus on what Your desire is for my life. I want to seek You , Lord for Your guidance, direction, clarity and focus, and pray that in faith I would walk in spirit and truth, to do only those things that are pleasing in Your sight.   Lord, in James 1:5 You have promised wisdom to all who ask. So, Father, I am asking for that wisdom today so that I may know the wayYou would have me go, and grant me wisdom to make clear choices regarding the academics and my future. Lord, in Deuteronomy 28:13 , Your Word says, “The Lord your God will make you the head and not the tail—placing you above and not beneath—if you obey the commands of the Lord your God that I'm giving …” Help me to depend upon the thoughts You give me to focus bansnd concentrate on my work. Give me the study strategy, tell me which part of my syllabus I should work on. Give me also the skills to remember the work I have to remember and the ability to apply the knowledge to the unfamiliar questions I have to answer. Give me the mentors that will guide me according to Your plan for my life. I pray that I will develop a greater enthusiasm for my studies and develop a desire to work hard and to perform well. I pray that I will not become weary, but ask that I may learn to focus on the task at hand and to complete each activity with great care. Proverbs 4:27 says Do not turn to the right nor to the left; Turn your foot from evil. Give me the mind to not deviate from the goals I have set for myself for today and to fight any distracting thoughts. Keep me away from confusion, self doubt, laziness or even hunger pangs which distract many students while studying. Remove sleepiness when I sit with my books. Help me to fight the temptation of going on the social media while studying. Proverbs 4:25 Let your eyes look directly ahead And let your gaze be fixed straight in front of you. So help me to keep my gaze focussed on the goal that You have kept in front of me. Help me to overcome any distracting or tormenting thoughts. I commit my study time into Your hands.
