How many things can go wrong in one portable exercise? In fairness, the weather forecast today was poor so I hadn't prepared in advance; this was very much a spur of the moment 'throw things in bag and go' exercise. However:- 1. Batteries were not fully charged, which added SLA weight to backpack. 2. Laptop was not properly configured, which wasted both power and time when portable. 3. Unexpected RFI issues, this couldn't have been known but hampered operation. 4. Lack of foresight to pack backup CW key. 5. Bands generally not conducive to QRP operation. However, this total failure was not a wasted exercise, as I'd rather encounter RFI issues locally rather than potentially cycle for hours only to discover the same.
