Fixing my Audio with Rode VideoMic

I have a pretty decent microphone, the Rode VideoMic, fixing my audio with the Rode VideoMic has been at the top of my to-do list for a while. I thought my audio would be better after moving to a new house, because I'm in a smaller room, but the way I had it configured actually made it worse! So I've been working on fixing my audio for my YouTube videos, and spoiler alert: my Rode Videomic was just too far away from me while I was recording. Once I solved that problem, I figured out how to remove the hissing noise that I was getting from it, which also made my voice sound less "empty."
