Education stakeholders in West Nile are calling for more affirmative action to address the worsening performance of learners in the region in national examinations. According to the PLE results released today, West Nile—which comprises 13 districts, one city, and two municipalities—had only 886 candidates pass in Division 1, with the majority falling into other divisions such as 2, 3, 4, and X. Madi Okollo District had only one candidate pass in Division 1, Obongi District had two, while Arua City recorded 363 candidates in Division 1. Adjumani came second with 111 candidates in Division 1. Stakeholders have attributed the poor performance to last year’s teachers’ strike, poor learning environments, and other challenges. #NTVNews #NTVTonight #NTVWeekendEdition Subscribe to Our Channel For more news visit http://www.ntv.co.ug Follow us on Twitter / ntvuganda Connect with us on Messenger via m.me/NTVUganda Contact us: CustomerCareUg@ug.nationmedia.com
