IPRC KIGALI HOSTED A MICROHYDRO TRAINING ORGANISED BY SNV

The Netherlands Development Organization (SNV) in conjunction with JLA Hyrdo a Belgium Hydropower company and IPRC Kigali have organized a two weeks training with the objectives to equip technicians with skills in design and manufacturing of power regulation system and hydropower plant safety installations. The training package was composed of different technical theatrical and practical modules to technicians who have been informally fabricating small hydro-electrical tribunes aiming at generating electricity on Small River. The current situation of power production by local rural entrepreneurs was that the quality of energy produced was not of quality from time to time they generated to much power, too much voltage that could destroy consumer’s appliances.
