The 5-tracker EP comes to reinforce Crossover Network sound identity, which is deeply connected to intricate breakbeat rhythms, exquisite leads and carefully engineered percussion patterns to deliver memorable dancefloor experiences. 🎧 Crossover Network Crossover Network is the creative moniker of Mike Smith, an electronic music producer, DJ, and live performer based in Scotland. Known for his hardware-driven approach to production, Smith has developed a distinct sound that fuses breakbeat frameworks with acid-electro, melodic techno, and rave-inspired energy. His music is characterized by vivid synth work, immersive atmospheres, and high-impact rhythms designed equally for dance floors and deeper listening experiences. Smith has released on a range of respected underground imprints, including Dalmata Daniel, Label in Disarray, and Rotterdam Electronix, while also curating output through his own label, Pleasure Deficit. His debut on the label, The Come Up (2022), established his reputation for sharp, emotionally resonant club tracks, and subsequent releases such as These Moments (2024) further highlighted his ability to balance euphoric melodies with driving percussive intensity. His more recent projects, including Laughter Forever After (2025), continue to explore the boundaries of modern electro and techno. Beyond studio work, Crossover Network plays an active role in Scotland’s electronic music culture. He co-runs Groovement, a long-standing underground event series in Perth that has been influential in developing and sustaining the region’s dance music community for over eight years. His performances—whether DJ sets or live hardware shows—reflect the same dynamism and raw energy present in his recorded material. Crossover Network also operates under the alias E.L.I., showcasing a different dimension of his artistry.
