You may or may not be familiar with the fictional Toronto based duo Nirvanna The Band, who have spent the better part of two decades attempting to perform at the Toronto venue known as the Rivoli. Their mockumentary web series Nirvanna The Band The Show followed the piano/spoken word duo’s exploits and became a cult hit in the 2000s until being picked up by Vice and adapted as a TV series in the 2010s and now being adapted once again, this time for the big screen, as Nirvanna The Band The Show The Movie. And while Jay McCarroll and Matt Johnson are the members of the titular band and stars of the show, there is a third member, the man behind the camera, award-winning a Canadian cinematographer and producer Jared Rabb, who joins us for this special edition of CJAM Interviews.
