This is the third session of SPNF 5 layer design meeting, held with farmers who are planning implementation of SPNF Coconut model in their fields. We discuss 2 coconut model design given by Padmashree Subhash Palekarji are discussed in depth. Why, how and when to plant and implement various farm activities are discussed in depth. 1. 3:30 SPNF Coconut-Arecanut-Cocoa/coffee model 2. 41:19 SPNF Coconut-Spice model 56:55 - Practical tips: Setting up temporary windbreak wall to protect 5 layer model 1:09:00 Practical problems faced by farmers or wrong implementations that have been done in past are elaborated in various sections based on context of discussion. This helps new farmers to avoid the design and implementation issues that were done by earlier farmers. Finally, two model design are reviewed which is in plan for implementation during 2022 Monsoon. 1. 1:01:20 36x36 Coconut-Spice model by Mahesh, Vinay and Lingaraj from Tumkum Taluk Mahesh and his friends are new to farming. They are learning farming along with SPNF technology implementation in their farm 1:25:00 40x40 Coconut-Arecanut-Lemon model by Donald from Mysuru District. Donald is a farmer and for past 16 years he has been practising chemical farming. He used to grow crops like Maize, Banana, Ragi, etc in his fields. He already has 2 year old coconut plants placed in 40x40 spacing. His intent is to not only to shift to SPNF technology from chemical farming, but to also implement 5 layer coconut model in his coconut plot.
