🎧 Apple Podcasts: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast... About This Episode She kept it a secret from her parents. She gave up a stable job as a psychotherapist in China and went to Germany alone to start over, from undergraduate studies. For four years, she worked part-time while studying, carrying all the hardship on her own. She completed her bachelor's degree, then her master's. Today, she works as a psychotherapist in a German hospital and is a co-founder of the "Mental Health Network for Overseas Chinese." Her name is Yunrong Xu, a post-90s young woman. In this episode, we begin by talking about the stigma surrounding mental illness—why should mental health conditions be accepted and understood just like physical illnesses? When someone close to us is struggling, how can we support them instead of judging them? You'll also hear Yunrong's own story: 11 years ago, she chose psychology out of 15 majors—a choice her family couldn't understand at all. A few years later, she made another "puzzling" decision—to go to Germany and start over. This episode is about courage. And it's about understanding. 🌱 About the "Mental Health Network for Overseas Chinese" A nonprofit organization co-founded by Yunrong and Hongfei, dedicated to providing mental health support for overseas Chinese.
