Do you know how to replace heating element in washing machine? A heating element for a washing machine is relatively cheap and installing it pretty straightforward so you might be able to do it yourself. I replaced the heating element in Zanussi / Electrolux washer but you will do it in the same way in different models. Watch my video to see how to do it quickly and without hassle. The job wasn't time consuming at all, it took me about half an hour to finish. Main problems with heating elements in washing machines: 1. Burnt out heating element - open circuit, does not heat water 2. Damaged insulation in the heating element - disconnects the fuse The video shows case 2. Burned out or damaged insulation in heating element must not be repaired. Zanussi / Electrolux washing machine disassembly may be a bit tricky as you won't be able to unscre the back. If you want to repair Zanussi /Electrolux front-loading washer, you might be suppried it opens differently than most models.
