About 75% of employees say that the most stressful part of their job is their managers. This is somewhat surprising given that most leaders will say that they are trying their best and providing their employees with everything they need. But if we take a closer look at what leaders tend to focus on... it tends to be themselves. When we prioritize our own needs and interests, we don't allow ourselves to see the humanity, needs, and interests of others (inward mindset). However, if we can get to a place where we can see the needs and interests of those we lead (outward mindsets), we will elevate our leadership and our positive impact.
