In this video I give you my best tips and techniques to blend like a pro and make smooth color gradients when painting / drawing with oil pastels. There are 3 blending techniques. By friction, using your fingers, a rag, a cloth or a tortillon also called blending stump. By using oil paint solvents and mediums like Gamsol, paint thinners, walnut oil or linseed oil. And the Pastel on pastel technique using a light shade on top of a dark shade and mixing them together. To demo the blending techniques I sketched 3 easy landscapes.
