Let's take a look at one of the last ISA based sound cards ever released. The Ensoniq Soundscape VIVO 90 is a 16-bit ISA card with no jumpers (except microphone disable) and requires a memory environment in MS-DOS with EMM386 running. It utilizes the Mark 5 chip and has 1 MB of sounds onboard. Gateway 2000 used these cards in their Family PC line of computers during the 1995-1996 years. They then switched to PCI based sound cards after this. For enthusiasts who want to either have a pure MS-DOS environment for gaming and/or a dual environment of MS-DOS and Win95, Win98, or WinMe, this card will fit the bill. However, there are a few quirks to setting it up in pure MS-DOS that this video will cover. Link to the Vogons Vintage Driver Library: http://vogonsdrivers.com/index.php?ca...
