Welcome to Gods and Heroes of Ancient Greece, where MyLinda Butterworth of Totally Stories interprets the written word for your listening pleasure. Today we continue with the tale of ‘Odysseus’ with the story of 'Telemachus, Odysseus, and Eumaeus Reach the City.' That evening Telemachus, Odysseus, and Eumaeus decide that on the morrow they will all make their way into the city. When Telemachus arrived the next morning the suitors had not yet appeared and Euryclea was coving the chairs in soft fleece when she saw her young master she ran and welcomed him home. When Penelope saw that her son had returned she held him close and kissed his eyes. He told her a shortened version of his trip and that he had not found his father but had heard that he was being held captive by Calypso. Not too much longer Odysseus, still in disguise, and Eumaeus arrive at the palace where he finds his old dog by the entrance to the palace. Argos had been faithfully waiting for Odysseus to return home and even though he was in disguise he knew his master and wagged his tail. #GodsandHeroes #returninghome #SpokenWord #Odysseus #Telemachus #Eumaeus #Penelope #Argos #audiobook #MyLindaButterworth #TotallyStories #shorts Hit the like button if you enjoyed today's story it truly helps.
